Delaware County Commission for Women and the Friends of the
Delaware County Commission for Women
On Tuesday, April 19th,
2005 for Pay Equity Day, Kay participated in a panel on the day
when women's wages catch up to men's wages from the previous
year. This disparity costs the average American woman and her
family an estimated $523,000 in lost wages, impacting Social
Security benefits and pensions. Kay
participated on an interactive panel to talk about this inequity,
but more importantly, to discuss how we can improve our professional
negotiation and development skills – and ultimately get
our piece of the pie! Kay was joined by Carol Vallone Mitchell,
a founding partner of Talent Strategy Partners, and Elva Bankins,
Managing Partner Lee Hecht Harrison. The panel was moderated
by Carol Staubach. |
